JImmy Eddings 2011-12 Artist in Residence

Jimmy was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  At an early age he moved to Madison, Wisconsin where he spent most of his life.  Observing and immersing himself in nature provides inspiration for color, texture, form and concepts in his art.  He makes both functional ceramics and sculpture.  The majority of the work is fired in a wood or soda kiln.

Jimmy received his BFA from the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater in 2005, and his MFA from the University of Kansas in 2009.  Currently he is a resident artist at Clay on Steele in Algoma, Wisconsin.  He has exhibited both nationally and internationally while maintaining an active studio practice.file://localhost/Users/markkolinski/Desktop/IMG_3953.JPG
